Left (before): This patient had her earlobes pierced with gauges, creating skin elongation in addition to very large holes. This presents a complex repair, and concerns for adequate blood supply to sustain the earlobe with any further surgery.

Right (five months after surgery): The earlobe was repaired with the patient awake in our office surgery suite. She tolerated the procedure very well. There is unavoidable shortening of the earlobe with this technique, but she healed very nicely and was very happy with her results.
