Left (Before): This gentleman has had overly red cheeks for years. This is due to enlargement of surface capillaries. The medical term is telangiectasia, and it is usually due to Rosacea. There are many treatments for Rosacea, and while they are helpful, once these blood vessels emerge, they are often refractory to all treatment except vascular laser. The laser is very effective at eliminating telangiectasia, while minimizing the risk of damage to the normal skin.

Right (Three months after laser): Notice the dramatic reduction in cheek redness after just one treatment. Although this patient responded beautifully to the laser, these results can not be generalized to all patients. Both the patient and Dr. Enzer were very pleased with his outcome.
